- 11: Give Us the Truth, Pt. 2

I'm here in the Network Office at church, waiting for a Custodial meeting to start. It's the night of our second Gathering. Life is getting back on track. I grieve that I have to be reminded so often of who I'm supposed to be, but all I can do is pick myself up and keep relying on Christ's grace.

Christmas Break was enjoyable for yours truly. I spent a lot of time with my family, which is always a good time. Every now and then, I think about how things could have been different if I had stayed at ORU, especially after hearing Flame's new album "Rewind"; where my walk with Jesus would be right now (if it was still in existence), what truths I might be ignorant of, etc.

School is still on my list of things to do with my life, I'm just not sure when it'll happen. I definitely want to rap, still. I want to learn how to be the most that I can be through Christ. I want to learn when to keep my mouth closed. I want to meet The Cross Movement and tell them what they've meant in my life. I want to hang out with Nolan, again.

Anyhow, I'm out of stuff to talk about. If you want some more stories, you can check my MySpace. There's some quality tales on there. I'll catch you all later when I decide to update this again. E-mail me if you'd like to conversate. Or call me if you know my #. That means you, Dinks.

- 07 Bitter Taste (feat. Cory Putnam of Norma Jean)

Well...

It looks like it's not going to work out to be at the show tomorrow in OR. As I heave a large sigh, I'll remember that God's plan is always a lot better than mine, and that His will is perfect. I'm sure the show in Oct. is going to be off the charts, and I'm excited to hear that the Girls should be playing mostly new music.

On a brighter note -- as compared to the OR show news, I mean -- I got hired by Safeway. Whoo-hoo for me. I'm looking forward to once again having a means of giving into the Kingdom on a regular basis because you can't outgive God!! To add to this, I've been listening to the Prosperity With a Purpose series by Dr. Frederick K.C. Price, and I'm learning how to get prosperity so I can be a blessing to God's eternal work and glory. It's a good series so far, to say the least.

Finally, Mark Venti preached an amazing message last night called "Copycat." He spoke about being a Christian and paying the price to be who Jesus has called us to be instead of trying to be like everyone else in the world. He said that there's nothing new under the sun, and that only through God and His eternal purpose can I truly be an original. Head to http://www.thecity.org, and then go to Generation Church. It should be the top link, since he just preached last night.

Grace and peace to friends both old and new, near and far (that means you, Chris and Jason). I pray that God's grace is with each and every one of you heading into this new month.

8 days to Interns!

One Love, One God, One Way,
Joshua D. Sands
--Ps. 19:14

PS: As you can tell by what I'm listening to, the new Spoken CD is amazing. Grab it TODAY!! And what's up with me and Track 7s lately?

- 07 Psalm 73 (My God's Enough, feat. Todd Agnew)

To anyone and everyone,

Life is good. I'm gearing up for Generation Interns, which I'm excited about, and I'm listening to some new music, which I'm also excited about. AC and I hung out twice in a row. Actually three days in a row, I guess. I beat him and Antoine (sp?) at basketball pretty bad, and I was in my flip-flops. Then he beat me at pool.

Be praying for me that God will continue to grow and prosper me, and that I'll find a way to be at the BG show in OR. I want to go so bad.

That's all I can think of for now. Keep it crunk! ...in the Holy Spirit, of course.

- 07 - Move - -

Hey guess what? Xanga is boring and I really feel no need to update here so that's why I don't, okay? I've been listening to a lot of music lately and enjoying it immensely. Generation Church rules, and I can't wait to make my shirt. Anybody want to give me a job? My birthday is a week from tomorrow, so you all better send me money. The Lord is good and meets ALL of my needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Hero of the Month: Frederick K.C. Price, D.D. --> "How Faith Works!" The new Thousand Foot Krutch CD starts to sound familiar the further into it you get... BarlowGirl is awesome and I hope I get to see them at Creation. I'm still a fan, in case you're wondering, even though they moved their new CD release back to Sept. 27th. *Tear* However, Bethany Dillon, TFK and Inhabited are all going to give me an autographed copy of their new albums Imagination, The Art of Breaking and The Revolution respectively. I like them for that. (Speaking of TFK, I've heard that they're good live. I need to try to catch them sometime.) That's all I've got for now. Anybody want to do my correspondence homework for me so I can keep up on the SP? Please?!!

To all,

God is good at all times, isn't He? It's been amazing being back home and in a Godly environment. Don't get me wrong, ORU can be a Godly environment; it's just not home. I've been back in church and loving it. City Church is amazing, and their college age class is just what I need for this summer. I really felt God leading me to turn this summer over to Him and His leading, so I've been taking every opportunity I can to be ministered to and equipped to build His Kingdom.

My family and I have also been attending meetings being hosted by a Reverend from Ghana named Emmanuel Ziga. (At least, I think he's from Ghana...) He's been teaching some heavy, heavy truths as of late, and I really enjoy hearing him speak. He also has a prophetic gifting, and he has had something specific to tell me from God all 3 of the nights that we have gone to hear him. It's funny how sometimes when you're not even looking for anything specific from God, He comes through for you anyhow. He knows our needs before we ask. (Which begs the question: So why ask? Maybe I'll deal with that in a later post...)

The BG concert was sweet, and as soon as I do a write-up on it, I'll be sure to post a link. I enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Ah yes, and to people who subscribe to me or add me to your Friends on MySpace: it's also nice to know where I know you from. It's tough to remeber everybody, and sometimes I forget. If you could help jog my memory, it's always appreciated.

That's all I've got. And since I'm not listening to anything right now, instead I'll just post what CD I'm waiting for. Ignore the whole "listening" or "playing" part in the above picture.
